Saying Goodbye to the Witzigs!

After we got back from our trip to Bavaria, we had a couple days before Marshall and Stacia headed back to the US of A, so we showed them a few more places near us.
The Skagen lighthouse.
Marshall and Stacia standing in the water where the 2 seas meet in Skagen. It was cold that day, Stacia is freezing in this picture.

We went to medieval days at Voergaard Slot (castle) near our place in Denmark. This is a well preserved renaissance castle. At medieval days, they have jousting, musicians, and soldiers. I thought Broderick would really enjoy the horses and jousting, but we got there after they had already finished for the day.

Broderick was learning how to carve wood on a medieval tool.
Fiona trying out some stilts.

Aunt Stacia cuddling with Anika.

The largest moving sand dune in Northern Europe is located in Northern Denmark near Skagen. It is called the RÃ¥bjerg Mile. We also walked out there a little to look around. It actually is moving east as much as 18 meters per year.
On the desert.
Of course we had to stop for some of the best ice cream in Denmark. =)

Marshall and Stacia were getting ready to leave. And when Broderick went over to take a picture with them, he stubbed his toe and wasn't happy about it as you can see from the picture. Oh well.

It was so good to have family come and visit. When you rarely see family, its such a treat to be able to spend some time with them and show them our corner of the world.

Thanks so much for coming Marshall and Stacia. We loved having you and hope you had a great time.
